what are you getting out of reddit anyways?
For me it was, a subreddit for anything I can think of.
was it worth it knowing that you helped enable the genocide in gaza and furthered the means to censorship while making the ruling class richer?
the drop of rain doesn't feel responsible for the flood and i bet this is how redditors feel about the living hell they're helping to unleash upon humanity.

My point is that Reddit's not the one committing genocide. So maybe don't take out your Political frustrations out on new members migrating from Reddit ? Also by acting like you are your already becoming what you hate so the road to fascism seems start with you Instead of complaining to somebody that has nothing to do with the situation you're talking about. Maybe try your hand at Doing something that actually starts political change.
i already have; reddit is complicit w the genocide via manufacturing consent; and leaving reddit is a very tiny change anyone can make to take a first step.
also: doing so helps a lot to prevent doomscrolling

Make a nice place for former Reddit users to come.. you don't like the Big bad reddit ..so why not be nice to new guys coming to check out Lemmy ?? Just be nice an chill and maybe they will leave the company you hate start thinking long run and not yelling like a kid who didn't get his way ... why try an shame the new guys ? Would you play a new game that shames you because you played another game before.? Idk maybe this is a mute point to you
