It’s likely a spin on, “They make a desert and call it peace,” so not pro-Trump.

It's based on what trump posted on Truth anouncing the bombing, ending it with "now is the time for peace". Wild thing to say

Yes, I think he was showing how Trump’s statement was in essence the same as Tacitus’. To plunder, butcher, steal: these things they misname empire; they make a desert and call it peace.
