It's not even the same level of propaganda. This time even US intelligence agencies are saying there are no WMD and that Iran was still years away from being able to have one. On the other hand Netanyahu has spent literal decades saying Iran is going to have nukes by next week.
There wasn’t much of a consensus for Iraqi wmds either.
And it was never supposed to be nukes right? It was like chemical weapons or something.
Bush Jr did at one point say something like "... the smoking gun, which could come in the form of a mushroom cloud."

that was a back-peddle made by the Murdoch machine nearly a decade later, where they tried to claim some old expired chemical weapons (that the United States gave to Saddam in like the 'eighties) were in fact the fabled WMDs.
I'm just saying that even organizations that were lying about Iraqi WMD are not doing it now.
The CIA knew it was bullshit but Cheney wanted there to be WMDs so chose to believe bullshit artists instead, if John Kiriakou is to be believed. One of the only times in history where CIA might have been the good guys.
Also, Bush and Blair at least tried to go through the UN, before they just ignored it and did it anyway. This time it's just "oh I guess we're at war now".
They want people uneducated for a reason.

I was a young teen when it happened and it just seemed ridiculous that anyone would be naïve enough to fall for the extremely obvious lies.
I'm probably? a couple decades older than you, it's always been this way. My entire life has been Americans convincing other Americans to fuck their own country and futures for culture war bullshit, petty vengeances, and unmitigated greed on the promise that they'll get theirs too only to be left empty handed and worse off than before. Then they vote the same way again while complaining that all the problems are the same. The joke about the definition of insanity applies.
The trick is they all want war, so the PRETEND to fall for it. It is like Susan Collins in Maine who keeps pretending to believe Trump learned his lesson but she knows what he is. No one can be as stupid as she pretends to be and still operate a fork and spoon.
Only Bernie sanders resisted before.
