My info is a little outdated, but it seems like the obvious choice would be Lemmy.world - is that a mistake?
preferably a slightly smaller instance so that not everything is on one instance which defeats the point of federation, theres slrpnk, lemmy.today, piefed, whatever medium sized one that isnt too crazy
Some people don't like the moderation and they're loud about it. 🤷
