Welcome to the jungle i guess

The hounds of the bourgeoisie cry more about windows and doors than the students maimed and violated. Just as a billion tears flow about the Romanoffs and none for the children they send to perish in the mines or at the battlefront.

It's like they found the people who sound most like affronted nobles to interview for quotes:

"It broke my heart. I saw Notre Dame all over again, except this time it was our town," said Francoise Faurie who witnessed the fire consume Limoges' town hall.

"What kind of country are we living in? What are we leaving our children?" she said. "There's no reason to touch that building. You can have demands, you have the right to protest, but not the right to violence."

"It's inadmissible to have burned down the town hall!" one local resident, Gilbert, said. "Those who did this need to be punished. They need to pay out of their own pocket, it's not for the state to pay."

"The logistics, the organisation, the premeditation behind yesterday’s attack on the town hall is something I find unbearable," he told reporters.

"I had no single national police officer to protect the town hall," the centre-right mayor continued. "This country is doing badly, this country is doing very badly, and it’s a small provincial mayor telling you so."

"I'm disgusted. I'm hurting," Lorcen said. "But it does nothing to add hate on top of hate."

This over a fucking building lmao. They'll cry over a building and claim it's about the children, while the children whose educational experience is shit (and a cause of the protests) apparently doesn't matter.

It is not improbable that this was a false flag to pit people against the protestors.

violence

If no one was hurt or there wasn't an intent to hurt anyone, it's not violence. It's just vandalism/arson. I fucking hate liberals and their pearl clutching over inanimate objects. They view property as being worth more than people.

Yes, it's unfortunate when landmarks and historical sites are damaged, but that's not the same as getting shot in the face.

Yes, it’s unfortunate when landmarks and historical sites are damaged, but that’s not the same as getting shot in the face.

Maybe I am wrong to say this, but I feel no sympathy at all about it for it being a French clock tower town hall building. It sounds like a nothing symbol as historical significance. I care about historical preservation to a point, but given that France still has colonial tendrils and still works with imperialism, behavior which has not a care in the world for respecting heritage and history of other cultures, I find it hard to care about them losing an old building. Notice how no one quoted by reuters even explained the historical significance of the building. The closest to an attempt was drawing a comparison to Notre Dame, but if that's what makes a building significant, then any old building is a historical landmark if you try hard enough to relate it to other old buildings that are considered to be one.

Reuters vaguely tries to allude to it being significant by saying:

an ornate 19th century neo-Renaissance building which survived two world wars

But this is just making up significance. A building being old does not inherently make it historically significant. A building lasting through world wars also does not inherently make it historically significant (it could have just been in an area where it was less likely to targeted).

So at the offset, I'm not buying the narrative that this even counts as a landmark / historical site to begin with.

The bourgeoisie of the whole world, which looks complacently upon the wholesale massacre after the battle, is convulsed by horror at the desecration of brick and mortar!

marx-guns-blazing

Honestly, this is incredible. The French elites are just doubling down instead of addressing the problems faced by the French workers and students.

Its only going to get worse before some rich fuck gets murked

Look at all of those Putin agents. If only that bad man in the Kremlin did not exist, Europe would be an idyllic, tranquil utopia.
