Do you have pre-shaders turned off in steam?

It loves to double down and load them in Steam, then load them again in-game.

Welcome to the party? Borderlands 4 is the one that always gets me waiting for ages.

There are mods to bypass this.

What's the best place to browse mods? There are a few mechanics that are really annoying me.

EDIT: I'm on linux mind-you, don't know if that makes modding more problematic like it does some other games.

Nexusmods. And Steam Workshop works, too if you happen to be on Steam. No idea about Linux, but I think I heard Linux users discussing mods, so I guess there shouldn't be much problems. Good luck and see you in the Zone, Stalker!

Thank you. I did get set up with a working mod manager and Nexusmods, however I'm unfortunately finding that most mods I'd like to use don't seem to be compatible with the latest game patch. Has this also been your experience?

Which mod manager did you get set up? I started using mod organizer 2 for Fallout 4 but I'm curious about other options.

I'm trying out NOMM not necessarily because it's the best or most robust, but because you can add/configure new games just by adding a yaml file. I play a lot of engine ports for various games, and that functionality appeals to me, since a lot of those ports require juggling patches and fan-made fixes.

That's an issue atm, yes. Update 2.0 came with an engine upgrade, that broke most mods. Then with 2.0.6 some mods (mainly weather and such) had new issues that are being solved. But modders are going strong and there's tons of new stuff and great old stuff, that has been updated, too. Try to check the newer ones. Everything since Aug 20 should work, except for those that have to be updated for 2.06. But the most important of those have already received updates. What are you looking for? Maybe I can point you in a direction.

I actually figured out the problem, and it wasn't incompatible mods. It was that my mod manager was using symlinks to enable/disable mods, but symlinks apparently don't work correctly when dealing with proton. Once I hard copied the mod files, they all started working.
