People attack NYT because they lowered their publishing standards. Unlike WSJ, which has always been right wing propaganda, NYT was previously a mostly unbiased source of news. As in, they cared whether their reporting was accurate and made sense.

The market reportage is fairly impartial, as befits a paper selling subscriptions to the investor class. The editorials are unhinged.
