That's not abnormal for teen girls, though. A lot of girls need to meet the right person before they develop sexual interest, even into their 20s. Instead of speculating and looking at people, she should try talking to them, making plans, going out. Does not need to be romantic, just meeting different people and seeing what kind of people you get along well with. Although modern American society really doesn't allow kids to do that until college now.

Yeah, I'm not thinking banning porn will do a better job addressing that issue than actually educating the young men about how to have positive relationships with women.

That's kind of going against the point of being a journalist. If a journalist opposes what a country is doing, the thing they can do about it is to go to that country and report on what's happening.

Ask your older family members. They've probably seen what happens.

I saw a public housing block in Romania, where people don't have to pay, and what is provided is not a huge improvement from being homeless. You have a concrete apartment, but there's no heat or electricity unless you pay for it. There's a benefits office that will make sure food is available to you, but you're definitely not getting name brand or getting to choose what you want to eat. The area around them was blighted and isolated- no community playground, parks, or shopping areas like a typical neighborhood. The community's medical needs were addressed by pop-up clinics run out of a van. It was definitely not a situation anyone would've chosen to be in if they cared about themselves.

So far I've only had to block a few people whose behavior made me concerned for their mental health. Otherwise this place doesn't really have enough activity for people to "get away" with harassing others, so it's not much of a concern.

The issue is you have to wait to get your tax docs in the mail. I got my W-2s (proof of wages/income from employment) sometime in mid-January, and I filed my state and federal taxes 3rd week of January.

However, my municipal taxes require me to receive a paper from them through the mail. I didn't get it until march. It had errors (as usual), and I've just been like, I'm not dealing with that. Last year it was also months late because I didn't want to deal with them.

There is no dispute in rescues. Whoever is there first can take them. That's just practicality. You're not going to leave your own citizen there when you're there for a rescue. Outside of that context, you're subject to the laws of the nation you're standing in.

It doesn't work the other way, because women very rarely have any desire to exploit men for sex. There also isn't an element of paternalism, where the man can be a controlling influence over a woman's life and choices. I would just assume he's nice to her, so they have fun together.

I finally received a summer internship offer yesterday. My new boss said he tries to give opportunities to "people who otherwise would not receive them," and I'll take it! Huge relief. Still very busy this weekend. I have a practice oral argument later tonight and I have almost nothing prepped and almost nothing memorized.

Media recommendations welcome but not required.

Idk man, you seem to believe the people in power are immune to consequences. They're not. They get killed and/or ousted all of the time. If you don't play politics and keep people happy, you tend to get Louis XVI'd.

I feel like the most worthless person in the world, generally and almost all of the time. Consequence of not getting along well with others plus not being hardworking enough to achieve anything.

I'm watching the puppy bowl and 2/3rds of the pups are named after celebrities or food.

It tastes even better on day 2, which I should’ve expected for a curry but somehow didn’t.

It’s Make it dairy free’s recipe but with tofu and shiitake mushrooms.

This veganized recipe from The Plant Slant Non-vegan recipe here.

This was the first time I tried to make one of his recommended recipes, and this one was legit. I've obviously made overnight oats before, but the blending makes it more consistently sweet. And the chocolate topping making a snapping noise is fun.

Blended Oats:

1/2 cup oats

1/2 cup plant milk of choice

1 tbsp peanut butter/peanut butter powder

1 tsp chia seeds

1/2 tbsp maple syrup

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Topping:

1/4 cup plant yogurt of choice (greek if you have+ like it)

Handful chocolate chips

1/2 tsp coconut oil

Directions: 1. In a blender, combine all the blended oats ingredients until smooth (~30 seconds). 2. Let sit for 10 minutes in fridge to set up. 3. Add a layer of yogurt on top of the oats. 4. Microwave chocolate and coconut oil in 30 seconds until melted and pour on top. 5. Let sit overnight in fridge.

Me: [Describes my assignment this term. It concerns a current supreme court case.]

Him: Wow, they're teaching you real ideas! That's something. That's how you make something of yourself in your field. What do you think about that?

Me: Uh? Regarding my brief or something else? My brief was just assigned. I haven't started researching it yet.

Him: No, that they're teaching you real ideas. Do you have an opinion on that?

Me: um, no? I like the assignment. It seems interesting.

Him: That's not good. You should have a take on that. If people don't believe in what you're saying, you won't be worth anything. You need to have a take and be able to argue for it, because that's what your field is paid to do.

Me: Well, no, the law applies to you whether you believe in it or not-

Him: No, it doesn't! Those systems were set up by globalists and Trump destroyed all of that. It's all worthless now. You need to convince people to believe in good ideas that make society better.

all prepped for the storm.
