This market is dogshit. My buddy has been laid off for 8+ months in the tax field, over 2000 applications for in-office jobs sent in a major city and still nothing.
Really feels like something bad is on the horizon

In two weeks, I'll be at three years without consistent full-time work. Freelance work is spotty, clients that pay their bills are even spottier, and I've written 80 cover letters for more than 200 job applications.
Physical labor seems to be the only way to get money. I'm so glad I paid off my student loans. It was totally worth mortgaging my future for an education that seems like a party trick.
The market is brutal, right now. From old to young, people need caregivers. Do you have home health agencies in your area? If you could get a foot in the door as a caregiver, or even laundry or kitchen in a clinic, hospital, nursing facility, or agency, after showing you are dependable, they may help you get a CNA license or even LPN, ADN, or even RN. And you can get a CPR/First Aid cert online, at least where I am. BUT be aware it involves a lot of bodily fluids and excrement. Some clients are nice, some will try to physically hurt you, but most who are nasty or physically abusive have either been abused or have mental health issues. If you like kids, you could try getting in the kitchen at a kindergarten or school, but in your area, they may hire as an office assistant.
I feel like I am in a similar situation (no job besides the one at my parents' place, and that is a bad option because they are bad for my mental health).
