I think it's just not exposing yourself and raw wounds to the possibility of them being exploited /abused for manipulation.
Do you have a friend who can care for your pet?
I see people suffer all the time and I can barely take it. If someone is in domestic abuse, I wish the best for them, and I suppose I could say something in support, but it's hard for me considering everything else.
I can't follow somehow. What is this about
it's part of the general attitude so prevalent now, that you can do anything if you just work hard and put your mind to it! No-one can ever accept that some people just can't change their situation, or need a lot of support to do so. It's just pure toxic positivity. And so, if you don't change your situation, you are to blame for the situation in the minds of these people. Even therapy is like this. One of the worst aspects of our current society IMO.
