I am still 99,99% sure that Europe, Canada, Australia etc. will find alternatives to most things. Everything from LinkedIn to Facebook.
We can't trust the US anymore. They are a threat to democracy.
Don't kid yourself like most "Classical Liberals". Europe, Canada, and Australia are nearly as compromised by a fascist oligarchy. Their politicians are just better at virtue signaling because the populations are more educated and pro socialistic-programs.
Why do you think all Western "democracies" still support Israel despite a significant majority of their populations opposing Israel?

Nearly but not quite, and mostly due to big tech meddling, most of which comes from Magastan.
"tech meddling" is an aggressive minimization that makes it sound innocent. The vast majority of the political class on earth have been pre-financed and pre-selected by the wealthiest criminals, rapists, pedophiles and thieves of society โ promoted through their media โ and their actions reflect the interests of that minority. The baseline is corrupt, and does not give a shit about "democracy"; only wealth and power.
Again, why the support for Israel against "the will of the people"? Why continue using American or Israeli tech companies despite direct threats to your "stated" personal and national values? To your democracy and sovereignty? Why even entertain backdoors that weaken national and domestic security like chat control? Why continue using closed foreign platforms owned by fascists?
How would you feel if Nazi Germany had a tracking device in your pocket, car, workplace? Every high traffic public place? In your own home pet cams and doorbell? In all of your transport options, public or private? Monitoring all your financial transactions, emails, and communications? and your government requires you to buy nazi tech for you to use basic government services and simply live your day to day life? Your government stores all of your data in nazi data centers?
If you understand history at all, you should understand that what the majority consider acceptable is currently at a mentally-ill level of ignorance and indoctrination.
You're barking up the wrong tree. Have a look at my comment history if you will. What I am saying is that cutting Europe off from Magastan-based services is a net good, because the corruption in our system originates in large parts from - as you say yourself - the wealthiest criminals etc - most of which are acting via Magastan corporations.

I speak German and the PR text is just strange AI slop text. It reads like a Google Translate text from 2009 and is overly verbose.
That UI is just like a common web framework, which heavily trained by AI.
They seem to use Claude Code, but the page itself does look like standard framework to me. But tbh I don't know.

The GitHub is what I mostly based my assumption onโฆ seems very reliant on LLMs to me. Canโt say for sure obviously, Iโm sure some humans just write this way. But most donโt.

Lemmy is not going to like this but... Depending on your career and if you are looking to change jobs, you might just want to bite the bullet.
As much as people rightfully hate it, LinkedIn is THE platform for jobs in certain industries. You can make this your hill to die on, just be aware that there may be no real alternatives, and you may find yourself alone without a life raft.
It's like being against WhatsApp in South America. That's great for you, but 90% of people and businesses use that as their method of communication, often as the ONLY method of communication.
You're gonna have to weigh for yourself if it's worth it or not.

Look, you can hate pants. Despise them. Proudly state that society is dumb for embracing them and adamantly refuse to wear them. That is your right. You can make that choice. You will be going against the grain and against societal expectations and will likely run into difficulties and challenges that people who just decide to go ahead and wear pants wont face, but that is your choice to make.
If you are in a position in life that you can say "fuck you"! Then more power to you. But if you are job hunting, or think you will be in the future, well... Again, you don't HAVE to, but things will be significantly harder for you if you don't. Yes it sucks. Yes it's unfair. But it's not something most people can feasibly do anything about.
And as long as there are people, who willingly gulp down every us-american surveillance and privacy-killing endeavors, nothing will ever change. Glory to the holy empire just because I want one of those jobs? How pathetic, sorry.

I was able to log in with my password and didn't need any ID, but I deleted the account so I will not end up in your situation. I have deleted several old accounts during the summer, so this was just one more account that is now deleted.
