the other post was back to back with this one
Lmao, I just took a screenshot of them back to back to post then saw your comment...
The best thing I've ever spent money on in terms of quality of life:money spent was a washing machine on wheels, since the apartment we live in doesn't have one. It's the size of a regular washing machine, you just have to roll it over and hook it up to the sink for it to work. Every dish washed by hand is a travesty as far as I'm concerned. Free yourself if you can make the room for it.
You can lead a roommate to a washing machine but you can't make them put their dish into it.
I much prefer just comparing myself to a mythological figure that was able to outsmart the gods so much they punished him for eternity.
Verbal warning, written warning, then start hiding their dirty dishes under their bed and use your own set until they get the message.
If your generating that many cups every day, you may want to reuse them a few times to save yourself the suffering.
I don't want to shit in the same cup twice. That's just disgusting.
At least share the cup with your friend!
Who came up with that sentence anyway?
camus
Pronounced like amogus
The other strategy is to just understand the value of the work you do.
The internet is always telling people that work is meaningless (we can speculate as to why) but we shouldn't listen to what the internet is telling us so much.
It's good to know that Camus likely killed himself.
Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.
I liked owning clear cups and dishware so I could see if it was too dirty to reuse. Checking for spots made it easier to clean, after-all it's already in my hands. The drying rack was the clincher though, it gives them a home between uses.
