Glad that I live in a state where all job listings must list an accurate wage range within the job listing. Failure to do so can get the state DoL and attorney general involved

much thanks to @gary_host_laptop for the logo design :)
they easily get around that requirement by listing absurdly large wages between the junior employee's wage and upper management's salary.
That's not allowed in my state. It must be the wage range for that specific position
Same in mine. Forces my employer to use ADP / Hays data to try and align job titles with comparable data from other employers. Basically everyone at my gig is at least making market and some a little better. Kills opportunities for big pay or bonus but I feel better knowing no one is getting royally fucked.
If you are desperate, accept the job and keep looking, job hop untill satisfied.
Extra points if you look for the new job during work hours.
And much like a lot of these things, it'll work about 1/2 the time and further blow up in the corporations face while they insult all potential hires.
depends on how desperate the workforce is at a given time.
true
Poison the data. Use AI to apply to a jobs under a fake name citing your current salary as way more than you make. Then apply.
That’s not how it is done.
Freelance nurses are a good example of this already in use. It used to be most freelancers would be recruited or apply to local hospitals. Now there are about 4 apps that hospitals force nurses to use.
These apps use AI to aggregate personal information bought on the open market. They use credit information , purchase information etc. to see how desperate a nurse may be for a job and low ball them. Just had a kid, have high credit card debt, just bought a house or car. All of those would make you desperate to take a job and would allow them to lowball you.
It was impossible to cross reference all of that data by a human. Now with AI they can do it at scale and build personality profiles on wage slaves.
Before you ever applied to that job they already know what kind of wage you’ll accept… You never stood a chance.
Now isn't this the most dystopian thing I've seen today...geez, the future is bleak.
