Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

That’s not how it is done.
Freelance nurses are a good example of this already in use. It used to be most freelancers would be recruited or apply to local hospitals. Now there are about 4 apps that hospitals force nurses to use.
These apps use AI to aggregate personal information bought on the open market. They use credit information , purchase information etc. to see how desperate a nurse may be for a job and low ball them. Just had a kid, have high credit card debt, just bought a house or car. All of those would make you desperate to take a job and would allow them to lowball you.
It was impossible to cross reference all of that data by a human. Now with AI they can do it at scale and build personality profiles on wage slaves.
Before you ever applied to that job they already know what kind of wage you’ll accept… You never stood a chance.
Now isn't this the most dystopian thing I've seen today...geez, the future is bleak.
