Goodbye posts seem to be all the rage these days.

But I just wand you db0 guys to know, I'm not leaving yet.

Yes, I am somewhat disappointed. I wrote a cute, effortful essay to sign up to db0, and I subscribed to cats as soon as I could. I subscribed to both privacy and piracy for extra hijinks and confusion. I called out feddit.org for their zionism as often as I found myself able to. I even set subscribed feed to "Proportional" for a few eeks, just to "fake" an "algorithm".

Yet I did not make it into The List.

But it's not your fault, guys. It's not on me either.

It's just, sometimes, life deals you a hand, and you can either fold, or meme it through. I meme it through.

I like you guys. Who knows, maybe, one day I can make a community about something in db0, just so that I have an excuse to post an actual goodbye post sometime.

Or I can keep upvoting cats.

Seeing you later, guys! And thanks!

How long could you stand "Proportional"? I know I wouldn't've lasted past the first eek!

Not more than a month. Must have been in the 15-25 days range.

I'd say it worked mostly well for the Subscribed view. The problem is there is no way (that I could find) to set it as default for Subscribed while leaving the others to other settings (eg.: Local on New, All on Popular).

I proudly stand with you! I'm not leaving either. Which is sure to be a disappointment for most of Lemmy! :)

We all need to stand up, and then sit back down.
