The total television audience could even break through the magical 4 million mark once the exact kick-off and full-time numbers are adjusted.
The 1.521 million people who streamed the game is a record, beating the previous mark of 978,000 set in Origin III last year, which in turn surpassed the FIFA Women’s World Cup semi-final between the Matildas and England.
