Revisiting The Wretched of the Earth for a more thorough read through as a part of my current focus on the mechanisms of colonialism and neocolonialism. I want to better understand the forces behind decolonial movements, especially as they relate to Bolivia and the Sahel states, not to mention Palestine.
Books
For all books - fiction and non-fiction.
The Book im reading from right now is by Howard Zinn, "A People's History of the United States" for review: its quite good, a helpful frame of reference for a socialist historical perspective. i have opened a tanktietube channel and put a paragraph from the book up as my first reading. its kinda raw, but we are cooking with the format. it will be good. https://tankie.tube/w/1fLsYFmmuMs5Bq9XoBmSqX
I just finished A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers. Certain aspects of it were good, but I think "cozy" books probably just aren't for me. I think I need my fiction to have higher stakes. I'll probably still finish the series out to see if it grows on me any further.
Beyond US Hegemony by Samir Amin. This book reads like it was from 2022 but he wrote it in 2006. Insane how this book just proves him right 20 years later.
Although he does seem to overestimate the idea of France and Germany being sovereign and acting on their own national interests in regards to China and Russia
I just recently started Fraud, Famines, and Fascism. Pretty interesting so far!
Losurdo's Stalin: History and Critique of a Black Legend.
Reading the chapter of antisemitism accusations right after seeing this post.
My hatred for Trotsky is reaching new heights.
The Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Workbook. I'm taking a break from reading theory and following my study plan to focus on strenghtening and improving my mental health.

What are your thoughts on it?
I'm about 40 pages in and like how practical it is off the bat. Haven't found out anything new however, I was familiar with mindfullness and radical acceptance before.
