Why there is no (true) feminism without intersectionality. ☝️💪🏳️‍⚧️

Terfs are happy to harm cis women if it also harms trans women.

Women who are deem too ugly and unfeminine are banned from public spaces, no access to bathrooms is a ban for being outside your house for more than a few hours.

Terf are among the most misogynstic people around.

As a conventionally attractive trans woman I've never had any trouble. It really is about misogyny.

Yup, Enby AFAB here ... been chucked out of more than one toilet when I was wearing winter clothes (well, excuse me for not having my tits out on display when it's fucking freezing).

On one occasion me and my wife (also Enby) were both accused of being men in the women's toilet, and then got followed around a whole mall by security for over an hour.

My heart goes out to all trans siblings who have to live through this shit, especially given all the other shit they have to go through.

You people are amazing - beautiful, sexy, real. Worth having in this world, unlike Terfs.

And in a way wasn't that the real feminism all along

[–] youcantreadthis@quokk.au 5 points 2 weeks ago

This just in I'm being told that it was not

I am worth being.

People obviously don't understand the consequences we face and the sacrifices we make when we transition. Being trans isn't easy.

But we do it anyway, because the alternative is to be miserable.

It makes no sense that being trans would just be some trendy choice. I was born in the body of a white man, the most privileged and easy mode existence, and chose to trade that in for being one of the most marginalized and hated types of women in society? That'd be like winning the lottery and giving the money back so you can live in cardboard box instead.

And frequently hung out with trans women

[–] NickwithaC@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

Terfs need to shut up

Couldn't agree more!

Yeah I'm just not even going to try. I won't ever pass since I land way on the masc side. I won't ever be trying to use the women's washroom either
