I retired last year, but it was a horrible year (30-year marriage fell apart, had to sell our house and find a condo, stressful move, etc.), so even though it's been more than a year, I've only recently gotten to the "do what I want" phase. It's probably somewhat colored by the recent stresses, but I find I really just like staying home and laying low. I read a stupid amount of SF and fantasy, play my guitar, play a bunch of classic wow with online friends, and occasionally go to lunch with real life friends. Maybe I'll get to the point of wanting to go out and do stuff, but for now I'm happy with the quiet life.

I'm involved with my union, so I make union propaganda in my spare time. I also recently started a programming project, it's an ereader app for The Anarchist Library.

Video games. I'm tired all the time from work and that's all the energy and money I have for.

Chill on my patio, play video games, run around on my jet skis, watch the osprey in their nest, watch the Bay shipping and fishing boats.

Very little.

I like that I have very few social or family obligations, and most days, I wake up and I can follow my whims. Usually that means books and wine, but I like the thought that I'm married to my freedom.

being in the general vicinity of my girlfriend is big on my list, otherwise time with family, listening to music and soon learning drums :)

Currently collecting ebooks and reading, philosophy and some fantasy fiction, Joe Abercrombie.

Books are dense for their entertainment value. 20gb is like 88k ebooks.

Fuck around with my computers and play video games. I also like to watch movies and read books. Also music, I'm a big audiophile.

Make music. I record and produce my own music in my home studio. I sometimes don’t realize I’ve been in there for hours until I need to pee.

there for a bit I really enjoyed working with chemistry in my basement. Got busy with other things and haven't gone back.

I have plans on expanding my workshop to have a small chemistry lab where I can experiment with anything from precipitation of exotic chemicals to developing my own custom 3D printing resin.

for some dumb reason I really enjoyed the math it took to increase, or decrease volume. I also liked the methodical result taking of each experiment.

Go to sleep so I can do it all again tomorrow.

My whole consists of working for 10 to 12 hours then walking in circles with a screaming baby until it's bed time for him then the wife takes him back and I sleep

A lot of my time is taken up by my kids. But on a usual day after work:

Listen to podcasts on the way back from work.

Get home and sit around the kids while they run amok and I scroll through my messages and RSS feeds.

Sort out the kid's and my own dinner and then get them ready for bed. Putting them to sleep takes over an hour. I play games on the Steam Deck in the dark at this time and have an attachment to hold my phone above the Steam Deck screen so I can watch TV shows and movies on this dual screen gaming setup.

After bed time there's usually enough time for a workout in the garage and one other activity (usually a project I have going, something I'm learning or life admin).

The weekends are this same stuff padded out with trips out to keep the kids entertained.

I can't imagine a life in which I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do with my time. Even if I'm off work and the kids are looked after, there are still and endless number of things I want to read, write, hear, watch, learn, practice and make.

Spending time with people I care about or chess

Read.

Hang out with partner or friend. That usually means reading, watching something, playing a game. Sometimes just lounging near each other.

Play video games.

Get stoned and play video games with my wife. We just found Unrailed 2 and it's been a journey.

I do genealogy, meaning looking through church books and population lists to make biographies of my ancestors in the 18th century or so. That hobby takes up a lot of time.

I also like to go for walks, ID plants and stuff. Sometimes my girlfriend and me just go collecting trash in the nature around us.

I try to read a lot, mostly classical literature or political stuff.

I try to go to the gym two times a week and I am always up for a round of Frisbee in the park or a beer in the pub.

Occasionally I play video games, but more mini games and puzzles as serious gaming draws too much time.

So the perfect day involves a little research, a bit of sports, a big round outside and finishes with a visit to the theater or cinema!

Aerobic exercise (despite the difficulties), karaoke, doing a couple French-learning lessons, reading some BD, working on an article to share, cooking something interesting.

I got laid off in January and still don't have enough time in the day, mostly due to general life tasks. But I also spend a lot of time now working on art and walking the city. I'm glad I have a little bit of a nest egg to fall back on since the job search has gone as you expect (still searching though)

I like taking long walks around Falkreath, hanging out wandering the Rift. A girl I was seeing told me she never saw leaves this color before. She spent a lot of tine underground though. The sun wasn't good for her skin if you know what I mean.

Go surfing if there’s any swell and the wind is right. Garden year round (zone 9a) - we get some freezing temps but can still grow a lot during winter. Play guitar a few times a week. Hang out with friends a couple times a week. Attend local music and art shows. Walks on the beach. Try to keep up with reading for fun and not just technical stuff. Play some video games. Kayaking when the wind is still (rare). Going for a cruise on my single gear bike (beach cruiser). Cooking a nice meal with my wife and guessing how much it would have cost at a restaurant. Letting our dogs pick the route we’re walking on today. Having a couple beers watching the sunset over the sound. Fishing with my mom and stepdad on their boat.

how I like to spend my day: relaxing activities such as reading stuff on the internet, video games

what I consider a good day: any day I do as little of the above as possible because that means I'm actually doing something productive for once to try to un-fuck-up my life

Make music

The hobbies I have are working on my comic, playing some video games, or planning for my next dnd session. I find it hard to really sink in to something for awhile now, probably because I've only got about an hour of unstructured time on the weekdays. Weekends can swing wildly but I just find myself unable to really sit and enjoy doing it. I kinda just do one of the three in piecemeal whenever I find the time for it now.

Recently I've hurt my foot so I took a week off. The past couple days is when I've recovered enough that I don't feel the need to be on bed rest for the whole day. Yesterday was the first time I've played a video game for over an hour in one sitting in what felt like ages.

Like to do? A many. But I only can afford to doom scroll or just waste my time on something that requires least amount of my energy.

I want to game like I used in my prime years but my eyes are too strained already after a day of work.

I just started playing Vampire Crawlers this weekend. I'm pretty much hooked. It's based on Vampire Survivors, but it plays like a fast paced Slay the Spire.

If you're familiar with Vampire Survivors, you know there's going to be a lot of things to unlock, and you already know most of the weapon evolutions.

There's always stuff that needs repairing or maintenance around my rented apartment. I got an electric sander the other week which I used to make my >10 year old kitchen countertop and balcony furniture look brand new.
Right now I'm working on my mountain bike which I use to commute to work. I replaced the front chainring the other day to fix the chain slip which has been driving me nuts for months. Swapped out the chain and cassette while I was at it, and now I'm working on regreasing all the moving parts.
When I'm done with that I'll descale and regrease all the internals on my espresso machine, since I haven't done that in like a year. Then I got to fit actual chores like cooking, cleaning, haircuts and laundry in.

Always something to do, but I enjoy learning how to do my own repairs and maintenance to stay somewhat independent, plus it helps me save money so I don't have to work as much.

Video games, music, books, building plastic model kits, meeting friends occasionally...

Sleep and erotica

As of now, continue writing my book. An idea I've found is actually worthwhile and different than anything else done before. Indoor gardening, maintaining my microgreens and hydroponics setup. Those are my two focuses right now outside of work.

straight up relaxation. lay in the sun or the shade almost anywhere but bodies of water you can dip in great. nice walks in nature and if with the dog all the better. nap. play a video game. watch something. you say after work and no chores but then say day like its a full day fest. either way it works but if there was work and chores before the more nap is tempting but if sleep is soon anyway then video game or media is more tempting. great to be outside in nice weather though.

I have a crazy boot fetish, mainly riding boots. Put em on with some leather pants and abuse myself (sexually). Huff poppers while I do it. I NEVER get tired of it. It is so good. 10/10, highly recommended. A fetish is a gift.
