Thanks for asking. This is complicated for me because I do love music festivals, however as someone who doesn't have a garden, I also rely on public parks for running and exercising my dog. For me it comes down to who is organising these events, and what they give back to the community.

Back in the day, Field Day in Victoria Park was an event put on by a collective of London music promoters, and it only ran for a weekend. Now the events at Victoria Park are put on by AEG Presents, the world's second music promoter, and this year they want permission to take over the park for 75 days - that's almost a quarter of the year!
