After the horror of watching an older friend succumb to early onset Alzheimer's and literally becoming an inanimate object with a pulse, IMO the risks of these drugs are meaningless. The real horror is forcing these people to continue living when they can no longer speak, eat or even be aware of where they are. It is utterly cruel.
If my friend had realized how she was going to end up she would have taken a one-way trip to Switzerland a decade before she finally died.
