I honestly do think the world does reward you for being a good person. People who are dicks or frauds usually end up hated and suffer for it. People who show kindness will receive kindness in return.

Doing good does not guarantee rewards. Expecting rewards for doing good leads to disappointment, but doing good is absolutely rewarded sometimes.
