Being a good person is its own reward.

Your reward for being a dutiful believer in the Emperor is to die for the Emperor.

"Faith in the Emperor is its own reward."

I honestly do think the world does reward you for being a good person. People who are dicks or frauds usually end up hated and suffer for it. People who show kindness will receive kindness in return.

*people who are obviously dicks or frauds usually end up hated and suffer for it

Remember, the successful assholes are indistinguishable from good people who got really lucky.

It hurts me to be a good person, but it hurts me worse to be a bad person

Doing good does not guarantee rewards. Expecting rewards for doing good leads to disappointment, but doing good is absolutely rewarded sometimes.

Ain't seen it yet.

Ain't stopping, but if extrinsic rewards were the reason I did "good" I would not be very smart.
