Yeah, didn't we have "android beam" or something like 14 years ago?

If this is a trend, hopefully they'll bring back ir blasters and replaceable batteries next. And halo controls, please baby Jesus, let us have halo controls again.

Don't care. Stop blocking sideloading

Android customization culture peaked around 2016 and has been declining since. Every major change since then has been toward iOS-style lock-in. Custom ROMs got harder to install, bootloader unlocks got restricted, Google Play Services became more intrusive. The people who stayed are clinging to what works, not riding a wave.

Uhh.. Android has had it's quick share or whatever they call it for years, is this a new one?

Maybe consider reading the article before commenting a basic question about said article? What is with this community, honestly...

Samsung: That's cute.

airdrop, while proprietary, seems to be a pretty stable and reliable protocol considering its backwards compat (from iphone 5 to latest) and usability.. recently heard google started supporting airdrop with iphones on their phones, maybe can airdrop itself just be used instead of just a 'similar' one..?
