Schroeder sits in front of the bust of Beethoven.

Patty and Charlie Brown stand in the doorway watching him. Charlie Brown says, "Poor Schroeder....he's heartbroken."

He sits in a chair across from Patty and says, "It's all my fault, too...I never should have told him...."

He stands, spreads his hands, and concludes, "But can you imagine? He never knew that Beethoven is dead!"
