You gotta consider that many of these orgs are run by normal people doing all this organizing into their orgs in addition to everything else they have going on. Capacity is a real issue many times.
I would continue to reach out occasionally if you are interested in doing so.
I thought about that too, I will maintain my calls and visit for sure but if that was the case for socialist organizations in my area, so devastating.
I work at a college and getting an email back from a student within a month is an accomplishment.
