Extension? What do you mean?

If you mean a RSS self-hosted application, then the developers of FreshRSS and miniflux are both French, so both are based in France.

And there are many hosted versions, like Zaclys or one of the many Chatons.

I like Commafeed: https://www.commafeed.com/

I realize the Github page isn't listed on that site, so here it is: https://github.com/Athou/commafeed

The github link is on the front page. It's just the github logo. Anyway, thanks for this, didn't know about it. I will try it when I get home.

Ah yes, indeed. Still a shame that they don't highlight that it can be run selfhosted on their own website.

I'm not quite certain what you mean either, but I've been very happy with NextRSS that could be installed in my Hetzner-hosted Nextcloud instance. Granted, I use it through the Android app, but of course it has a web UI as well.

Not all (any?) of the free Nextcloud hosts allow installing the news app/extension though.

By extension I meant something with a browser extension ideally.

I donโ€™t want to self host. Thanks for the sugggestions.

Capy Reader. Phone app with filters. Lets you limit news to phone hours.

I'm not sure what you mean, I use Feeder on android, that's all I need. Can recommend. No need to self host anything...?
