My mum told me my sibling's passport was not in the lock box when I got mine out a few weeks ago. She last used it for a work thing. She's gone through her place and ours and nothing. Asked her to check work, also nothing.

The suspense is killing me. Where is this passport?

I will check the lock box myself tomorrow and see if it's just camouflaged in there.

[โ€“] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Good idea to check the lock box. Usually stuff like that is exactly where it's supposed to be but I only realise I have just missed it after I pull apart my entire life looking for it ..

..on that note can you check in there for my fav silver necklace? That's what I am currently tearing the place apart looking for ๐Ÿคฃ

[โ€“] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's Vera Stanhope. Show on ABC

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

I don't normally watch brit crime drama but she was really good.

edit: pet

[โ€“] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

It is a weirdly charming show. In a horrible way.

Shetland is also good. Based on a series of books by the same author who created Vera - Ann Cleeves - so it might appeal?

I've seen that actress play Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and got...really thrown

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

That is modern day Columbo.

It's hard to say who is better because they both solved everything.

Jack Howard's Epic Brass is playing at the Fitzroy Bowls Club on 22nd Feb. Link.

Last time I heard them they were truly epic - I'm thinking of going. Anyone else interested?

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

3-6pm for more info.

[โ€“] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Ooooh. I'll check my calendar and get back to you?

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

No probs. The nearest tram stop on the No.11 line is NOT accessible, but there are accessible tram stops on the other side of Edinburgh Gardens on the 86 line, a short trundle away via Alfred Crescent. Fitzroy Bowls Club is accessible.

MotherFUCKER

Fell asleep on couch watching Ghosts. GEt up for 2am Pee. Wait what the fuck is that slow drip noise?? Washing machine. Shit shit shit. Turn off at wall. Pull away from wall, thrown down towel. Go to basement below, puddle

I really can't with this shit today

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Did it drip on anything brewing?

[โ€“] Taleya@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

separate side of the underhouse, not in brewery. Wet joists though, so i have a blower going from above, fans from below and humidifier at ground zero. I don't know how fucking long it was leaking though.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Tired, huge list of chores

I will do the really easy ones and the ones that are eating at my mind first

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

I think I have set up my new phone well enough to start the transfer soon, it's so fucking invasive, creeping into every corner of people's lives, default is set up so that your whole life is digital and mostly on apple , not irl , I have switched nearly everything off

which is ironic cos i love the apple Severance series

now just have to delete a few hundred unwanted pics on my old phone and I'm pretty much set

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I've been outside and I don't like it.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

It's muggy as well.

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I went outside early to water the garden, and hung my heated throw rug on the line to dry. That was definietly enough outside for the day, although Mr Woof would prefer more. He will have to be content with walking himself around the garden if he wants outdoors time. Both he and Miss Meow are more tolerant of the heat than I am, they've both been voluntarily spending time outside.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

My little dog likes to bake on the porch mat. When he's had enough he'll stroll inside panting and weezing and then dramatically flop down in front of the fan. He'll repeat that a few times a day.

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Same for mine. It's kind of why those dog walking warning posts irk me. My dog knows what he wants and I respect his agency. He didn't want to go out on the 40+ days but he's keen to under 35. I've also got a bunch of farmers in the family with kelpies who do no give a fuck.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I don't even walk my dog when it's summer. He follows me outside when I go to the letterbox, bins, clothes line. He does 360 laps around the house chasing birds and cats and flies and whatever else he wants to do several times a day.

When it's cooler weather we do walks around the neighbourhood and the park in the mornings.

Mr Woof has been switching between lying on the grass (there is a little patch at the back that is mostly in shade), lying on the dog bed that's just outside the window, or he sometimes just sits on the door mat looking in through the dog door. He doesn't like clinking noises so he'll generally self-evacuate to the back yard when I'm in the kitchen, but he'll keep an eye on me and come back inside if I sit down.

Miss Meow prefers lying on the concrete for some reason.

We replaced the hair dryer heat with stickiness. Bring on Sunday's 19 degrees.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

I can not wait.
