It sounds strange, but in a way, pillows do give an abnormal spine curvature next to the head, which technically can cause problems.

I do know people that straight up decided not to use pillows because of neck pain and use the arm as a pillow instead.

First weeks were a bit horrendous but eventually got around it, and now, no more morning neck pain.

Yeah, especially if you sleep on your back, no pillow or a thin pillow is generally what I've seen recommended from medical sources...

I have a friend who used to get back pain, and he would sleep on the floor without any padding to deal with it

Floor is better than a bad mattress 100%!

Absolutely! I had a bad mattress and I almost cried when I got a new one that had actual back support. For the last few weeks before we got a new one , I frequently slept on the floor

I have a bed, but I barely use it. I pile a bunch of blankets up in a corner, shape them into a nest shape, and sleep. When I was young I pretended that I was a little wolf sleeping. I was probably on drugs

OP doth protest too much. (They're trying to hide that they're a serial killer).

Btw: Psychopathy is a psychological condition not a moral judgment. They're not inherently bad just wired differently.

If your mattress is comfortable enough, a pillow doesn't feel much different.
