I had a feeling James Gunn took a lesson from John Wick. You don't have to make the viewers care about Superman but if Lex kidnaps a super cute dog, everyone is immediately invested.
If they kill krypto I will never trust DC and James Gunn again.

Guns use people to kill people when they didn't even mean to, or weren't thinking straight. Guns turn acts of despair or foolishness into suicides and murders.
But Gunn doesn't always use guns. Sometimes they're drowned or impaled or eaten
Goddamn this was a good comic. The secondary protag/narrator had an insufferable problem with grandiloquent verbosity, but the writers seemed to figure it out after around the third issue.
Other than that, it’s awesome. The art is special.

Not gonna lie, I kinda want to see it. I’m not a big Superhero movie guy, but I enjoyed Superman. This looks too be as much or maybe even more fun.

Not gonna lie, Lobo is the only reason I care to see this at all. After what they did to the Main Man in Krypton he needs redemption!
I just hope Gunn knows what he's doing and is paving the way to the important stuff somewhere down the line - a Section 8 movie.
Well it's either Lobo, or Abbath somehow got incorporated in the DCU
