You might also like Rogue One!

Had to do a celebratory rewatch of Rogue One after finishing Andor. Still great!

How do you watch the show and the take home point is not Free Palestine

[–] marl_karx@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think the first star wars movie was also kind of created as an anti war film against the vietnam war. The empire is the usa and the rebel alliance the vietcong if i remember correctly. could also just be that it was some interpretatiom by some guy

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Yeah, Rogue 1 and Andor are built different.

Bad batch is ok too, for a kid’s show.

can you give me a safe link? never used that website beeefore

[–] keepcarrot@hexbear.net 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Have you used torrents before?

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

yea i just don't want to click on the google link

[–] keepcarrot@hexbear.net 0 points 1 year ago

1337x.to has an internal search, and so long as you're getting magnet links to .avi files (or other pure media files) there is very low risk of anything. Download through a VPN if your country cares about that. I use qbittorrent as the application for downloading.

Good luck!

The absolute easiest way for me in general is Stremio + a Debrid service (ala Real-Debrid). Not only is it super safe and simple, but the UI of Stremio is way more user friendly than most actual streaming platforms.

Admittedly there is a fee for a debrid service, but it pays for itself in about 45 minutes.

Does this hold up pretty well if you've never seen any star wars? I have heard good things but usually from people who have consumed star wars content for like 20 years.

[–] ksynwa@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah you don't need to know any star wars for this.

[–] Addfwyn@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Good to know, may gave it a shot later and see. Cheers

All you kinda need to know is that empire bad but that is glaringly obvious. I have commented about this before but Andor benefits from not having to carry the baggage of the star wars canon. Specifically, the stuff in the three movie trilogies is completely irrelevant and it's for the better. The movies have an incoherent metaphysical chosen one narrative that made for good spectacle 20 years ago but it goes against the themes of Andor.

Andor is my favourite TV show ever for a lot of reasons and the fact that they chose not to say jedi, sith or force anywhere in the first sesson (haven't watched the second one yet) is somewhere near the tippy top.

This is a prequel to Rogue One which happens right before Episode IV (the original 1977 star wars)

It's a good entry to the series

[–] PoY@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

watched Star wars and read books?

[–] Addfwyn@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 1 year ago

Haven't done either.
