Not just Epic exclusive, funded and published by Epic. It will probably never come to Steam, or at least not for a very long time.

And despite liking Alan wake and control, that decision has permanently offboarded me from their franchise because I refuse to use EGS. oh well!

That's only the case for Alan Wake II. Control Resonant is self-published and available day one on Steam.

Yes. They are trying to bribe their way into the market without actually offering anything, and my expectation is if they ever actually get market share we'll see an enshitification speed run.

You add non steam games to your steam library with a click. There's no need for another launcher on top of steam.
