A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

5 No bigotry, no racism, sexism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any type of prejudice.

6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc. This includes instance shaming.

Meh.

The vast majority, at least here in the US, only have meaningful power locally, and locally we get some great shit done. In my city we got permits moratorium-ed for five years for ICE and have had three streetcar extensions in the last ten years. (And our streetcar is free.)

Nothing like that is possible at the federal or state level. None of it.

Bernie got close but, as Dems and Republicans are trying to do to all the DSA's, he got swift-boated and his primary rigged. I think everyone has the right to be angry when we're ultimately powerless to change the course of our country in a meaningful way.
