I hate to point it out but the richest 10% includes most people in the west. Like if you’re reading this you’re probably in the richest 10%.

To be in the richest 10% of Americans you only have to be worth about $1.5 million. Which is most boomers and genxers with a house and a retirement.

Correct. I found these numbers for global wealth: "[...] it takes around USD 1.1 million in net worth to land in the global top 1%, around USD 175,000 for the top 10%, and around USD 8,700 for the top 50%." If you have about 9000 USD you are richer than half the planet. If you own even a moderate home, you're in the top 10%.

The study was talking about income, this is from 2021 but shows the threshold to be top 10% in income globally is $37k, so maybe up to $45k now, so yeah probably most people reading this.

As a Native American I resent being somebody’s enemy just because I happen to be born into a place where I my family was forced.
