I haven't used Gentoo in maybe 15 fifteen years or so but it was definitely the funnest to use
15 years ago, I was using Gentoo the funnest way.
... And it was also the most productive time of my life. Really hones the system to just what you need, when adding useflags only per package as needs arise.
yeah, I loved it when I had the time for it. I used it on several machines as my daily driver back in the day. I can remember getting a new Thinkpad for work and deciding on Arch over Gentoo given the relative time commitment... then the disaster with the Gentoo wiki happened shortly thereafter and I've not run it since. I'm running Fedora Silverblue at the moment. glad you're carrying the torch!
