It’s not that he has lost any mental stability between those two statements, sure evaluating more data points would or could, but those two statements better fit “my enemy is weak, and yet they’re also powerful” propaganda. It’s the exact same playbook they play against democrats, against sleepy joe, etc.
You must both equally feel superior to your enemy, AND need to rally together to overcome them.
You have a point. Unfortunately Trump would not understand a word of your comment nor understand the concept. It's just verbal diarrhea.
As someone put it, in I think his first term, Trump is an instinctual Fascist.
