The goal is to convince the octogenarians in Congress to outlaw open weight models (the Chinese models / the competition).

They really should instead look at this and say: „Alright, big tech can‘t be trusted so we‘re breaking up tech corporations invested in AI and any company with a value of a trillion dollars or more.“

They‘re not going to, because they‘re too invested themselves but lawmakers really should draw the right conclusions here.
