If the species survives him, he will at least serve as an exceptionally well documented example of a narcissistic self serving piece of shit who will lie cheat rape kill and steal to do whatever makes him feel special.

And also as an excellent example of how many totally fucking delusional idiots will throw away any principles, relationships, promises, and their own reputations, all to ride a hype train conducted by a cult leader.

No he won't. I doubt we're ever going to learn from him and meaningfully improve as a society.

Oh he'll be a good example.

But I didn't say anything about how many people will or won't bother to try to learn from history.

Trump learned from history.

Hitler is unironically one of his favorite authors. He kept in his bedside table, a compendium of Hitler's speeches, during the 80s and 90s.

Knowledge is power, as they say.

Learn? No. But I guarantee you a bunch of his supporters one day will have "never supported him."

All OP said is he's a good case study of narcissism, didn't say anything about society learning not to emulate that.

The hardest part for me is seeing exactly how many people don't actually have morals, just pretend to. I didn't think it would be this many...

Yeah most people are not actually morally good.

Really, that's the core fallacy of modern liberalism, the assumption that deep down, most people want to be good, have a socially broad and logically consistent sense of justice.

Nope, just not true.
