I quess water infrastructure is on the table now. Good job, America.

Iran will offcourse retaliate by hitting the water infrastructure in the Gulf States, causing massive issues in the Arab world.

This is Russia level incompetence.

Huh, wouldn't expect that from someone who regularly passes cognitive tests (/s)

Look, it's bad, but Russia is striking civilian housing daily in Ukraine, which is impossible to even argue are strategic targets. They're both doing bad things. Let's just leave it at that.

The usa stroke iranian civilians daily during the war too. Billions of dollars are given to israel to commit genocide

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

And Russia gives (or gave, since they're now barely able to fund their own war) billions to fund conflict too. Neither one is really above the other. The sooner we stop squabbling about our favorite nations, as if they're sports teams, and figure out how to work together to better the regular people the better.

The sooner we stop squabbling about our favorite nations

We both do not deny that both countries are terrible so I nobody is squabbling about his favorite nations here but I am sorry but it is a fact that the USA did more damage to the world than Russia. The usa hold the title of the country who is involved in the biggest number of military coups , the title of who finance the biggest numbers of genocides and the title of the country who is involved in creating the biggest numbers of failed states.

Russia is funding the undermining of democracies all over the west (and probably elsewhere too). I disagree that either is worse. They're nation-states. Their entire goal is power.

The US has more influence globally, so it has almost certainly done more harm, but not because it's particularly worse. It's only because it has the capability. Russia is managing to do as much harm as it can. They don't give a shit about the people, let alone their people.

Russia most of time spread propaganda using social media and to undermind the so called western democracies. The united snakes most of the time fund the terrorists or help them with intel to overthrow non western so called democracies to put puppets

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 9 points 3 weeks ago

Oh but that would be "terrorism".

I do not understand why Gulf states aren’t pulling out every possible stop they have to get Trump and Israel to stop this buffoonery. Like I don’t see how any possible outcome of this war could even possibly benefit them?

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 8 points 3 weeks ago

What levers would they pull? Most are barely more then a set of wealthy oligarchs playing at a nation. Not really having a tonne of cards to play in this stupid conflict with the us/israel and not the spine to stand up against them.

The leadership is too busy being obscenely rich and banging hookers.

This is Russia level incompetence.

well when your nation becomes a vassal state to Russia, that is to be expected.

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 0 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Russia's economy is smaller than California's, don't be silly.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

have you been paying attention recently?

[–] Rat_in_a_hat@lemmy.ca 16 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

If we've been paying attention, then the US is a vassal state of Israel and likes to support authoritarians globally (like Russia).

[–] Honytawk@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 3 weeks ago

Russia doesn't need to buy a country.

They need to buy exactly 1 person.
