The person I responded to, that's why I asked them.
No, that is not the l correct. An "everyday wash" is a simple/standard wash, not one you literally do every day.
Then they shouldn't call it that
This is basic language use and completely correct. Language is full of things that, taken literal, mean something else and there is no way to avoid that, given that language constantly changes.
I never said it was incorrect, just unclear.
