Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Cursed Sands is a prologue to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, previously exclusive to consoles and now available on PC.

If they're porting a game that was finished on another platform, why would they need new AI voices?

I've never heard of this game. (Which doesn't mean much.) But I also couldn't find Cursed Sands on Mobygames. On DuckDuckGo, the first several pages of search results for "Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Cursed Sands" are all about this new port / update, not about the original game.

I was a big fan of RtCW back in the day (played through it multiple times) and this is the first time I am hearing of Cursed Sands.

Also very strange that it's not on Mobygames.

Hey I found an entry in the Wolfenstein Wiki that sheds some light:

Cursed Sands is a prologue mission that only appears in the PS2 and Xbox console ports of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

So it was never a standalone thing. And I guess the people writing news stories about it aren't crystal-clear on what it is, either.
