Have you ever wanted to get the information you need from people as quickly as possible, but it's not important enough to waste time explaining accurately, and it's not a given that the effort you put into explaining will pay off, because people may not know or respond as you need to, and how do you usually solve this problem, especially if you're an introvert? This applies to both the Internet and real life.

Or maybe it's because I'm the only one who is so pathetic?

Yes, it's an art hard to master, but you'll almost always have to put up with some amount of extra information. You must give some explanation, story or something so they don't feel the need to add nuance and detail to their answers.

Depending on the topic might not be possible, though.

In short, the less talking you want them to do the more talking you'll probably have to do.
