I have a 2016 outback. No android auto... But I'm in the same boat. Backup camera. Sensors self driving no wifi no forced updates. Etc.
I don't need anything more.
Praying for our cars to survive at least another 15 years, bud ๐
I daily a 1985, how boned do you think I am?
You got another 15-20 years before parts are basically unobtainable with out three arms and a kidney in cost :P
Well I had a 1966 chrysler 300 (that car hated me and I hated it back) and although curses be upon all dodge designers I could still get parts for it. And as for my fiero (the 1985) that I daily I do have 2 other parts cars to pull from and a good amount of people making aftermarket parts today.
The sad part is that all of the stupid cars I have had and have are still less money and stomach pain then a new car. (the 3 fieros and 300 all added together where under $6000 in car/parts/time and that is over the last 5 years)
Yeah agreed. One of the great things about the outback is there's a DIY group around it. So there's a lot of YouTube videos out there on car maintenance and upgrades etc So that kind of where I'm at with it these days too
