Lol that's awesome. We had a similar experience with our Priest. We got married when we were 19 and 20 years old. Because we were so young we went along with what her mom wanted which was a traditional church wedding. The priest told her mom we would not last a year. We've been married 25 years. We're both autistic!

Congratulations! 25 years is incredible, I’m so happy for you two. I don’t know what it is with these people who insist they know how long marriages will last. Even if you have that thought why the hell would you tell a family member?

My brother is also autistic and it’s more pronounced compared to me. He got a girlfriend a couple years ago. They eloped a few weeks ago and he was so nervous and shy about it that he basically whispered it to my mom and told her to tell the rest of the family. When I congratulated him he was so chuffed about it that he didn’t know what to say. They got a close friend to marry them so they wouldn’t get judged by a stranger after hearing my story I’m pretty sure 😂
