lol. Any country that allows billionaires to exist are working for the interests of the billionaires.

No amount of holy water liberates a people. At some point you have to come down to reality and engage with it as it is, not as a pure ideal.

[–] randomname@lemmy.org 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

lol, that’s how you get capitalism and billionaires. Where are those tanks you love so much? Wimp.

[–] amemorablename@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So you don't actually want to be rid of billionaires, you want to concern troll; put on a pretense of being on roughly the same side, but then mock the same side that you're supposedly on.

You’re the one siding with billionaires. You can try to tell me what I am all day long but it doesn’t make you right.

If you want to make the argument that China is a capitalist state then you need to produce an actual argument to make that case, not just point at the existence of billionaires and shout: "Behold, capitalism!"

Explain your theory, present your evidence, and make your case. I can assure you that the average Marxist will at least engage with it honestly - even if they don't necessarily agree - so long as it is made in good faith, using reliable sources, and rooted in a dialectical materialist analysis.

Regardless pivoting to Xi is really rather irrelevant. The original point of the meme was to make fun of U.S. liberals and their perception of U.S. politics. China has nothing to do with this and so bringing it up appears defensive; hence why you were accused of being American by another user.

Racists like you are a lot more forgettable than you think. Yawn. Another person thinking they know better than over a billion people who have one of the most developed democratic projects in the world.

[–] randomname@lemmy.org 0 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Racist? lol more lies from an ML. Shocker.

[–] LeninZedong@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Well, you did refer to Xi Jinping as "Pooh", which is quite the racist trope in this political landscape (and the fact that you only used the wrong name for Xi Jinping and not Putin or Trump says that you are certainly some strange type of communist that is anti-AES: Maoist?)

Edit: Hmm, maybe not, because you say "more lies from an ML"... some dogmatic Marxist?

[–] randomname@lemmy.org 0 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

How is the Pooh meme racist? It’s not about Chinese people it’s about him specifically.

Does Putin have a joke name? I’d be happy to use that.

And, Orange man is boring. Epstein’s Boyfriend?

I love Weenie the Pooh's very distinct color of yellow. It really suits the Chinese leader- and the black simple eyes too. We should put a rice hat on him too and buck teeth. It will really complete it and show Xi who is boss

[–] LeninZedong@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I cannot tell if this is satire or if you are defending the racist imagery: I assume the former?

Unless Epstein and Trump had a confirmed sexual and/or romantic relationship - which to my knowledge they did not - calling them "boyfriends" is very explicitly homophobic. I don't think I need to explain why but I can if you need me to.

[–] LeninZedong@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Saying that it is not racist because it is only about one person is like saying "I am not a racist, because I only drew Obama as a monkey! It is not about black people in general", which is an awful excuse. Also, what type of communist or leftist are you? I expect the Pooh comparison to be from liberals at the most progressive.

Edit: By the way, what leftist are you?

[–] amemorablename@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yes, you're pretty racist. I mean, going with the Winnie the Pooh caricature is racist all on its own. But it's also racist to act like you know better than over a billion of a people just cause you want your vibes-based political analysis to cling to. God the arrogance of it.

[–] randomname@lemmy.org 0 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The Pooh meme is him alone, not Chinese people.

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 weeks ago

Winnie the Pooh is literally the color yellow.

The racism really isn't that subtle.

It's a western cartoon bear character being used to negatively caricature a Chinese world leader. Who the fuck do you think would promote a thing like that? Chinese people born in China whose native language is Chinese and grew up with Chinese media, not Christopher fucking Robin? Or westerners who love to be racist for hundreds of goddamn years.
