If it makes a difference, I just looked at the Renee Good GoFundMe, and it closed at $1,500,000.

Yeah, fair point.
A lot of people are dead, but they weren't white and didn't get a GoFundMe, or even mentioned by the news.
I mean yeah true, but the point is that they deserve it too, not that she didn't.

I see I have misinterpreted your comment "that they deserve it too" as they too deserve to be shot.
Unfortunately I have seen many comments here on Lemmy from nazis in that style and certain mods simply letting them be in place. And took this to be another one (also, as I commented somewhere yesterday, I had a big hangover) I apologize for my mistake, I was wrong.

IIRC, her family closed it after getting in way more money than they ever imagined and suggested that folks donate to other impacted families.
