This is doubly hilarious because at the same time cons want PP, while his MPs see their electability drop. I'll put money on CPC splitting if they lose the next election. Reform resurrect!
The approval vote for PP was pretty rigged. It was held at a convention in Calgary where you had to pay to get in. And the people invited to vote were identified ahead of time. https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/article/poilievre-prepares-for-leadership-review-as-conservatives-gather-in-calgary/ I think there were some other shenanigans as well but can't remember everything that happened. But I wouldn't take the leadership review polling number too seriously.
If that's how they run their leadership election why should any Canadian that believes in democracy put them in charge of one?
