Hell yessss.
This is one of the very very few "hip hop" albums I just love. I usually can't really stand rap/hiphop but that seems to be because I hear mainstream junk a lot..
This is hip hop right? My favorite bands are Kansas and rush, I'm white as a ghost lol
You might dig stuff from the Ninja Tune label, they put out a lot of instrumental hiphop during the nineties-zeroes. Some of Dan the Automator's music resembles Ninja Tune's output a lot.
YouTube likely has good mixes if you search for ‘ninja tune’, or their specifically mix departments ‘Solid Steel’ and ‘DJ Food’.
E.g. Roots Manuva, The Cinematic Orchestra, Wagon Christ, Coldcut, Daedelus, DJ Vadim, Bonobo, maybe The Herbaliser.
Throw Kneedelus in there too for good measure. And Czarface perhaps. Good list though. Haven’t played Wagon Christ in years.
Wagon Christ released a new album just last year.
Thank you I am gonna check these out!!
