Sure, and Iran isn't under a regime now, right? They shut down the internet because they didn't like what was said over it.

Read what, only the news sources that don't talk about Iran's deeds, or all the other ones?
"Regime" literally means "government", it's just a propaganda word to make it sound scary. You could perfectly correctly speak of the "American regime" imprisoning ethnic minorities or the "German regime" forbidding military-aged men from leaving the country without permission, the fact that you unironically use "regime in Iran" as if it were something intrinsically negative proves that your whole understanding of this is vibes-based. If you care about Iranians, riot in your EU/US homeland to destroy the economic sanctions, which MURDER HALF A MILLION people YEARLY over the globe since 1975 per the latest The Lancet publications.
Bla bla, don't try to "potato tomato" me, you know well what a regime is or you wouldn't be upset at me calling it that. Funny that you are more worried about the economic sanctions, and not the repression, incarceration and execution of protesters... go spread your propaganda elsewhere.
By highest measures some thousands of protestors died. By modest estimates, HALF A MILLION murders yearly by economic sanctions. You're literally defending mass murder on incomparable scales.
