Rules:

  1. The mods are fallible; if you've been banned or had a post/comment removed, please appeal.
  2. Off-topic posts will be removed. If you don't know what "Leopards ate my Face" is, try reading this post.
  3. If the reason your post meets Rule 1 isn't in the source, you must add a source in the post body (not the comments) to explain this. If the reason is in the source but is tedious to find (e.g. in a lengthy video), you must add an explanation for where it is.
  4. Posts should use high-quality sources (for a rough idea, check out this list), and posts should retain the title (if one exists) from works like news articles, videos, etc. You may (but need not) edit your post if the source changes the title. Other types of posts should have a title which accurately, relatively neutrally describes their contents.
  5. For accessibility reasons, an image of text must either have alt text or a transcription in the post body.
  6. Reposts within 1 year or the Top 100 of all time are subject to removal.
  7. This is not exclusively a US politics community. You're encouraged to post stories about anyone from any place in the world at any point in history as long as you meet the other rules.

I still can't believe the americans chose him over Kamala.

She's ridiculous. Never won a primary. Because she almost certainly could not have, if she had been subjected to one in the most recent election.

All the Dems had to do was produce/nominate a viable, moderate candidate. They are too inept to do that. They still have not fired their leadership. One wonders what level of failure would be required for them to finally do that.

moderate

Thats the thing, moderates in an extreme system are still unpopular because they represent more pain for the people they're asking to vote for them. Free healthcare is the most popular position among anyone who might vote dem, yet its not moderate. So is cutting off Israel, defunding ICE, and taxing billionaires.

When it was Biden, I had a hope, the moment kamala was declared the face, I knew that Trump is winning. I've never seen such strong mysogeny in any developed countries. There is a reason a woman has never held highest office in US while do called "backward" contries like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh have already had women holding highest office.

Kamala was wildly popular when she announced, and got more popular when she nominated Walz. Then she embraced every position that had just killed Biden's campaign.

Aye, how do people not remember how much momentum Walz's "weird" carried, and how much the 'planners' screamed and shouted and made all of the effective tactics stop?

It's still wild to me that the Harris campaign brought on all the same people who managed to lose to El Taco the first time.
