So, he always says stuff like “What about White History Month?” or “What about Men’s History Month? Men did plenty of great things, so I feel like I’m either overreacting, or he’s kinda discriminatory.

Not to mention, he hates the fact that he thinks Michelle Obama is trans and wants to know what’s in her pants every time she’s mentioned.

Respect is earned. Family can be chosen. You owe your parents nothing. If they are kind, loving, caring people, they are deserving of the same. I genuinely feel that if you wouldn’t be acquainted with your parents, let alone friends, had you not known them otherwise, there’s no reason not to distance yourself. Only they benefit by believing they deserve respect when they don’t. You will be stuck “putting up” with their way of life.
